The Here and The Now

by: Wendy M. Z. (me)

Pushed toward the future
Pulled by the past

Four steps forward
Equal steps back

Boxes of memories
Folders of dreams

A chest of hope
The promised ring

Words filled with love
Eyes lit with lust

Misuderstandings
Hollowed trust

Tomorrow meets yesterday
Today becomes then

The past and the future
Both meet their ends

A tired but true heart
Renews its own vows

What will always endure
is the here and the now.

Beautiful poem, Wendy. So true, sometimes we forget the hear and now when longing for what might have been.

Sorry it took me so long to get over to check it out, this week has been one mad rush after another!

How are you doing?

Love,
L.

Am I late?! >_<

Most likely, sorry! Many Happy Late Returns 616. Hope you had a wonderful day with friends and family. =)

I hope all goes well with your family! Good thoughts that your sister's biopsy is clear, and that this will be the only time, this winter, that your Mum becomes unwell.

See you around, Wolfie. =)
