 Smiling faces,

erasing traces

of bittersweet goodbyes

and things that went awry.

Here's to fresh starts

and happy hearts.

Making peace with the past;

Filling moments with emotions fondly unsurpassed. 

Sweet embraces,

loves’ good graces,

loaded bases,

no time wasted.

Laughing eyes,

contented sighs,

words wise,

hopes’ reprise.

Here’s to  the present and to the past.

The birth of the new,

the shades of blue

 the “to be continued”...

to life renewed.

Here’s to  the new year.
