What Would You Do?

If I were to give my heart
to you,
would you know how to care for it?

Would you hold it so loosely,
so carelessly,
it would fall from your hands?

Let another step on it?
Kick and bruise it?
Puncture it?

Would you watch it bleed
and walk away?

Or,

Would you hold it so tightly
it would stop beating?

Would you strangle it?
Suffocate it?
Smother it?

Extinguish the life and fire within it
and within me?

What would you do
(if I gave my heart
to you)?

Would you know how to hold it?

Would you protect it?
Keep it safe and warm?
Defend it?

Allow it to breathe...
expand,
contract,
dance,
sing?

(knowing all the while
it was safe and secure
in your care
and in your hands ~
fearing neither suffocation
nor careless
disregard)

What would you do
(if I were to give my heart
to you)?

Hi 616. =)

Whoa! It's been a while and you haz a lot of blogs now!!

I'm hoping you're doing okay, with Bre heading off to college.

Your bond with each other has always appeared very close and I'm sure you are going to miss her very much as the next lot of days go by.

Hnag in there, and tell her not to forget there is that handy modern invention called email, until you meet up again. =)

Hello Possum and Lisa!!!! Thank you both for droppin' in!

Possum: I'm "hnaging" in there! Hehe, I like that word!

Thank you, so much. We have always been close. I have so many memories of that little girl with all the curls. I shared so many of her "firsts" with her. (I couldn't possibly love her more if she were my own. The same goes for her little brother!) She looked just like goldilocks when she was little!!! You wouldn't believe the ringlets she had!

Well, at least she isn't too, too far away. She can make it back home in about 3 1/2 hours! She'll be back for Voodoo Fest next month and we're both looking forward to that! KISS!!!!!!!!!!! YAY!!!

How have you and your little gremlin been? I hope all is good with you! It's always so good to read you at Mayo's. I miss the morning "run ins" with you, Kass, FASC and that wise Dalai Lama!

Lisa: Thank you, so much too!!!! You haven't been around nearly enough, lately, either. I'm going through 'punk withdrawal'! I miss you as well!

Take care, ladies and I hope we get a chance to chat and catch up more SOON!

Hugs and Much Love,
Wendy
