I Dream In Nightly Silence

In the silence of the night

I allow my mind to wander

I envision dark mountains, starry sky,

A lake, a warm fire

And you……

I can almost feel your warm breath on my skin.

Your fingers touching me so tenderly.

The look of passion's hunger in your eyes;

And I, willing to let you feed.

The aroma of pine and fir is in the air

The scent of winter is strong.

We do not feel the chill of the night;

We give and take freely and it is bliss.

We share it all.

The love and pain.

The hunger and the satisfaction of lust fulfilled.

Knowing neither of us will ever starve.

Two individual beings, two separate souls;

Acting as one - for a brief moment in time.

Neither trying to conquer, control or smother the other.

Both knowing themselves and sharing all characteristics of themselves with each other - truly appreciating the differences.

I awaken to the sound of thunder.

Your scent is all around me.

Were you just a dream of nightly silence?

Or, do you wait for me?

Do you wait, surrounded by dark mountains - pines and firs;

Under starry sky, stoking the flames of the fires of loveand passion

Do you wait for one who is true?

True to herself AND true to you.
