Year Anew
by me:
Wendy M. Z.
(TalaWenZee)
Fare thee well my love,
the lovely year I knew
The glimpses of the past
long since bid adieu.
The passions of the present
those both false and true;
the vision of the future
seen with eyes anew.
The completion of the circle
etched in clouds of blue;
the beginning of continued
in bright and bold new hues.

Horizon
by me: Wendy M. Z
Here I stand
alone
again
at the edge of a cliff
staring down into
the abyss.
Thinking back
choices
bad?
Back track
No. Too late.
Tracks are covered
thick with dust
gates are rusted
shut.
I can only look
down now
into that sweet abyss
or ahead
into the horizon
of burning bliss.

Once Upon a Time
by: Wendy M. Z.
(TalaWenZee)/me
I said to a friend
"It's okay to mourn
the loss of a dream."
It's okay to weep
for what's unrealized,
unheard,
unseen.
Once
I was asked
"What happens when
your dream is achieved?"
I said
"That's easy to answer.
You simply dream
another dream."
Once upon a time,
It was easy to see
your thoughts and ideas
my dreams and ideals.
The vision of heaven
and nightmares of hell.
To hear the singing of angels
and the tolling of bells.
Once upon a time
I thought that I knew
of happy endings
for me and for you.
"It's okay to mourn
the loss of a dream."
Unrealized.
Unheard.
Unseen.

ILLUSION
By: Wendy M. Z.
TalaWenZee
Now it’s here
now it’s not.
Was it there
was it forgot?
Where did it go
if forgotten so?
Was it real
to touch and feel?
Did it breathe?
Did it think?
Did it need?
Did it drink?
Did it thirst?
Did it hunger?
Did it grow?
Did it slumber?
Was it heard?
Was it felt?
Was it wanted?
Was it smelt?
Was it nourished?
Was it seen?
Was it real
or just a dream?
It was there.
Now it’s not.
It was lost
not forgot.

I Am There
by: Wendy M. Z. (me)
TalaWenZee®
to see me.
Plug your ears
to hear me.
Bind your hands
to feel me.
Hold your breath
to breathe me.
Bare your soul
to uncover me.
Lay open your heart
to find me.
I am there.

Perfection Matured
by ME, Wendy M. Z.
the grays
The signs
of days...
The lessons
learned
Progression
earned...
The senses
allured
By perfection
matured.

Pictures
by: ME, Wendy M. Z.
Staring at pictures on the wall
reading between the lines
for the first time
in a long time.
That was now, this is then.
Touching the pictures on the wall
feeling all the seems
the spaces in between
suddenly filled
for the last time.

What goes up...
by: ME ~ Wendy M. Z.
Was there no one?
No one to warn you?
No mother hen to protect you,
to shelter you?
No rooster to cock~a~doodle~doo,
to sound the alarm
which could have warned you?
An alarm you might have heard.
An alarm sounding louder than words.
Warning bells in the tones of hell.
Could you not smell
the burning of the promise,
creativity's vomit?
The stench of your own suffocation?
The Suffocation of blind adulation.
Idle adulation.
Suspended suffocation.
A hero's indignation.
The masses fascination.
Was no one there to help you?
Help you over that wall?
That wall of public anticipation.
The anticipation of condemnation.
The miraculous rise and the hellish fall
The gory glory of it all?

The Depths of Me
The Depths of Me
by Wendy M. Z. (me)
Early one Frosty morn
I ventured out into
the wood at dawn.
I came upon
a snake tongued path
I made a choice
no turning back.
I took the path leading to sea
where I wait for one
to sail the depths of me.

Eternity Has No Other Name
by:
Wendy M. Z. (me)
Etched in blood
we are enslaved
Freed we are
in the arms of rain
Cleansing served cold
ignites more pain
Only in warmth
can we be saved.
